INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 28, 2016) – At first, it seemed a polite man was opening the door for a woman, but that apparent kind act turned into something else.

On Jan. 22, a man pulled up to Saigon Restaurant, 4760 W. 38th St., in what appeared to be a black Kia Spectra, got out, and walked to the front door. He held the door open for a woman as she approached.

As the woman and a witness came close, the man grabbed for her purse. The woman held on, and the man dragged her across the concrete as she desperately tried to keep her purse.

Eventually, the man was able to break free. He got back into his car and drove off with the woman’s purse, which contained her ID, cash, credit cards and cell phone.
