The fight over health care is making headlines here in Indiana.

Friday, the state held the second of two public hearings to discuss expanding the state’s Healthy Indiana Program.

Governor Pence has asked the feds for a waiver that would allow the Healthy Indiana Plan as a way to expand Medicaid.  Pence said it’s the only way he will support an expansion.

Democrats said it’s time to stop stalling.

“We have a policy paralysis right now, the folks across the aisle cannot govern on their own and we don’t have a clear direction for the state,” said Rep. Scott Pelath, D-District 9.

It’s not clear when the state might get an answer back from the federal government.
