Governor Mike Pence will deliver his second State of the State address as governor Tuesday night at the Statehouse.

Pence will speak to the General Assembly on a wide range of issues, but Pence said last week that the economy and education would be among the speech’s major themes.

The governor is also expected to focus on his plan to phase out the state’s business personal property tax, a proposal he’s been pitching now for several weeks.

“I’ve traveled around the state and laid out our agenda for keeping this economy improving, for continuing to promote education innovation to the benefit of our kids, families and teachers and also strengthen the foundation of Hoosier families,” Pence said last week. “And those are going to be the themes when I come before the General Assembly.”

It’s not clear if he’ll speak at all or at much length about the ongoing controversy over same sex marriage, and a possible constitutional ban that lawmakers are taking up again this session.

FOX59 and will have live coverage of the State of the State address, starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
