Human remains found in Clinton County, west of Rossville High School

Update (June 15, 2016)– Officials said Wednesday that the remains appear to be male, in stature between 5’5″ and 6’2″. Due to deterioration, ancestry couldn’t be determined. The bones are not believed to be related to any missing persons case and foul play is not suspected.

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind.– Officials are investigating a report of possible human remains found in Clinton County.

The possible remains were found along Campbell’s Run, west of Rossville High School.

The Clinton County Coroner’s Office, Rossville Police Department, Indiana Department of Natural Resources and The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department are involved in the investigation. In addition, Dr. Kristina Latham, a board-certified forensic anthropologist with the University of Indianapolis, is assisting in the case.

The investigation is ongoing and no further details were immediately released. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
