COLUMBUS, Ind. — Traffic in downtown Columbus will be restricted Saturday night as students from all three Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. high schools celebrate their prom at The Commons.
Washington Street between the blocks of Third and Fifth streets will be reduced to one-way traffic southbound, and sidewalk barricades will be set up on either side of the 300 block of Washington.
Third Street between Jackson and Franklin streets will be completely closed down, and a portion of Third between Franklin and Sycamore streets may be closed depending on traffic needs.
Barricades will be set up on Fourth Street just east of Jackson and Washington streets.
Fifth Street between Jackson and Washington streets will be reduced to one-way traffic eastbound. Additionally, Jackson and Washington streets will be closed just north of Fifth Street, and Fifth will also be closed just east of Washington. A portion of Fifth just west of Jackson will also possibly be closed.
Closures will be in effect from 8 to 11 p.m. Prom runs from 9 p.m. to midnight.
