WEST LAFAYETTE – A student riding his bicycle was seriously hurt after colliding with a CityBus on the Purdue University campus.

According to investigators, the rider and bus collided around 11:23 a.m. Monday outside of Stewart Center as the bus was rounding the corner off State Street. The cyclist was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital East, according to the Purdue Exponent.

Witnesses reported seeing the victim bleeding from the head. Investigators had no additional information about the student’s injuries or condition.
