Rumors have been spreading that Butler would be joining the seven Catholic schools that are defecting the Big East conference, and Thursday night multiple sources claim these rumors are now taking shape.
Butler and Xavier are expected to join DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John’s, Seton Hall, and Villanova in a new conference that will still keep the “Big East” moniker.
