The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has made an arrest after medication was stolen from a Walgreens Pharmacy on the city’s southeast side.

Officers responded to the pharmacy in the 6700 block of East Southport Road on Saturday, Jan. 12 at approximately 2 p.m. Police said the suspect came in through the front door and gave the pharmacist a note demanding controlled substances and implied he had a gun.

The suspect fled in a faded black two-door Pontiac driven by a white male, after getting an undetermined amount of medicine from a pharmacist.

Police were able to later apprehend the man though they have not released any information about his identity or what charges he faces.
