Sage Karam crashes into wall during lap 94 of Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Sage Karam has crashed into a wall in Turn 1 on the 94th lap in the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Sunday.

It was the second crash of the day. Defending Indy 500 champion Juan Pablo Montoya crashed in Turn 2 shortly before Karam’s accident.

A yellow flag was flown and the race was stalled while crews cleaned the track of debris.

Karam was checked out by medics on scene and was released.

Karam reportedly told outlets he was “more bummed than hurt.”
