Police search for killer of 16-year-old

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Indianapolis’ northeast side Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 600 block of E. 23rd Street in response to a person shot around 4:50 p.m.  When they arrived, they found the male victim in an alley suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. On Friday, police identified the shooting victim as 16-year-old Quinton Nance of Indianapolis.

Police said the motive is unknown and they have not identified a suspect.
