Serious crash on I-70 sends one person to hospital

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. (April 2, 2016) — A serious crash along Interstate 70 sends one person to the hospital.

According to Hancock County dispatch, the crash happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. in the westbound lane of I-70 near mile marker 104. The accident involved a state highway truck and a semi-truck. The driver of the highway truck was injured and airlifted to a hospital.

I-70 was reopened mid-morning after crews finished cleaning up the crash.
