INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 26, 2015) – IFD worked two separate crashes near the intersection of 75th St and N Keystone Ave around 8 p.m. Sunday night.

Two cars and eight people were involved in the first accident. According to IFD, a 2004 Jeep Liberty 4×4 was traveling northbound on Keystone when it lost control, spun, and jumped the median. The Jeep hit a black Nissan that was traveling southbound head-on.

There were five people in the Jeep – including a 36-year-old male, a 34-year-old female, and three children ages 13, 10 and seven. The adult female, the 10-year-old, and the 7-year-old were ejected from the vehicle.

The 13-year-old ran down the embankment and brought his 7-year-old sister up to the medics. She was transported in stable condition to Riley Hospital.

The 10-year-old was transported in critical condition to St. Vincent’s Hospital, and the adult female was transported in critical condition to IU Methodist. The male driver and the 13-year-old boy were transported to Methodist in good condition.

An adult male and female were in the black Nissan, and they were transported to Methodist in good condition.

A second accident occurred between a car and a snow plow as they collided to avoid the initial crash. There were three people involved in this accident, but no one was injured.

IMPD dispatch reports responded to over 20 accidents in between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.  IFD has responded on 14, Wayne Township FD responded on 2 and Hendricks County Departments have responded on 4.  Most of the accidents have been property damage only.

IFD would like to encourage drivers to play it safe, buckle up and drive carefully on the slick roads.
