INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A man was shot and killed late Friday night on Indy’s west side.

Just before midnight, IMPD responded to a report of a person shot on West 34th Street near North High School Road.

Officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the Run Inn Bar and Grill.

Medics arrived shortly after and pronounced the man deceased. He has been identified as 31-year-old Stephen Quick.

A couple of vehicles in the parking lot of the scene appear to have bullet holes as a result of the shooting.

Captain Harold Turner, with IMPD, said the bar is without a doubt, a problem.

“I don’t want to say that everyone that patronizes this place are bad, but it seems to attract customers that are involved in violent behavior, particularly involving weapons, such as handguns,” Captain Turner said.

The shooting is the third incident to occur within a 12-month period. One of those was an officer-involved shooting late last summer.

Investigators are searching the area for videos that may have captured the most recent shooting.

No word on any suspect information or what led to the gunfire.

The investigation is ongoing.
