Small plane from Richmond crashes into house in Michigan

A single-engine plane crashed Friday morning behind a home in Berrien Springs, Michigan according to the  Berrien County police department.

On board was the owner of the plane,  Dr. William Fisher. He was a family medicine doctor with Reid Hospital and Health Care Services in Richmond.

Piloting the aircraft was Fisher’s son, Bryce Fishers,  who had to be extricated from the plane.

The passengers were Dr. Fisher’s wife Barbara Fisher, and Bryce Fisher’s girlfriend,  Miritha Morales of Dekalb, Illinois.

The plane was headed from Richmond, Indiana to Andrews University Airpark  for a family holiday function.  The FAA is handling the investigation.
