INDIANAPOLIS, IN (November 28, 2014) - Castleton Square and Greenwood Park Malls officially opened for business at 6 a.m Friday, but some stores stayed open all night.

If you plan to head out shopping today, mall officials have some advice for you.

Have a game plan. Know ahead of time what stores you want to hit and have a shopping list.

Dress comfortably.

And shop with people who love to shop! Don't drag someone to the mall who isn't into shopping on Black Friday.

"Be smart when you come out to the shopping center," said Megan Bailey, Director of Mall Marketing and Business Development at Greenwood Park Mall. "Be mindful of your surroundings and understand this is a public building and public place. Be respectful of other shoppers. I know it can get a little crazy because there are some really good deals to be had. We’re adequately prepared. We’re excited for everyone to come out and enjoy the season."
