Another busy year shaping up for Circle City in 2016

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 8, 2016) — With more big events planned for the 2016 calendar, is ranking Indianapolis 12th on the list of destinations to visit in 2016.

“There’s no question, the biggest event of 2016 is the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500," said Bob Schultz, Senior VP of Marketing and Events for Downtown Indy.

"We are known worldwide for motorsports," Schultz said.

Representatives from Visit Indy say there's a lot to look forward to in 2016 -- here's a list of some of the highlights:

JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals
Jan. 15-17
More than 400 cheer teams from 30 states make it one of the largest elite cheer competitions in the country
