INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 2, 2016) – Women’s Final Four teams and fans are in town this weekend and before the athletes take the court, lots of events are taking place in the Circle City.
The “4-kay 5k Run” was one of several events happening during “Super Saturday.” Fans could also check-out free attractions at “Tourney Town” inside the Indiana Convention Center.
Fans also had the chance to get autographs from their favorite players on Saturday and watch the athletes during open practice.
“It’s just such an inspiration -- we can watch and see how they got here and maybe we can transfer that to our practices,” said 10th grade basketball player Kristen Stuckwisch.
Organizers say they’re expecting about 30,000 visitors who will have a $20 million dollar impact on the city.
D-1 National Semi-finals start Sunday night, while D-2 and D-3 championship games happen Monday.
The D-1 National Championship Game is on Tuesday night.
