Suspect still at large after Lawrence bank robbery

LAWRENCE, Ind. (May 9, 2014)– Detectives in Lawrence are asking for public assistance in helping identify a suspected bank robber.

The Chase Bank located at 4202 N Franklin Rd. in Lawrence was robbed Friday just before 10 a.m., and police suspect the man pictured was involved

The suspect entered the bank and approached a teller, displaying a note announcing the robbery and demanding money, which was provided by the teller.  After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot out of the north doors of the branch.

There were no witnesses to indicate if he departed in a vehicle or on foot.

Suspect is a black male, mid-late 20’s, medium height and build, wearing a black t-shirt, camouflage shorts, and tan boots.
