Indianapolis, IND. — A seventeen-year-old male is in serious condition at Eskenazi Hospital tonight, after being shot twice outside IMPD’s district headquarters.

The teenager and his adult friend were meeting a buyer for a cell phone near The Family Dollar Store at Shelby Street around 2 a.m. The Family Dollar Store is not staffed at that hour, though it backs up to an Indianapolis Metro Police Department building on Sanders Street.

IMPD believes the juvenile was at the location for an Offer Up deal when two suspects pulled up in a car.  One of the suspects  brandished a gun at the pair, attempting to rob them.

The seventeen-year-old attempted to flee and was shot twice.

Police are still looking for two men in the car who fired the shots.
