INDIANAPOLIS (July 11, 2014) – A teenager who went on a deadly crime spree last year learned his punishment.

Sirquain Burr was sentenced to 59 years in prison (68-year sentence with nine years suspended). He pleaded guilty to murder last month. Police said Burr and Gabriel Edwards killed 38-year-old John Yingling in February 2013 while committing several armed robberies. They also shot another man who survived.

Police spotted the pair and gave chase; the pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle crash in Brownsburg.

Edwards has also pleaded guilty. He’ll be sentenced next week.
