Thanksgiving shoppers get the jump on Black Friday

CARMEL, Ind--It wasn’t technically Black Friday but many Hoosiers on Thursday night traded in their Thanksgiving meals for Black Friday deals. Across Indiana many Hoosiers settled for leftovers just for a chance to be

At the Super target on Michigan road in Carmel shoppers waited in line for hours until store doors opened at 6pm.

Minutes before that opening there were at least 200 standing in line, with hundreds more flooding the store once doors opened.

Once inside the typical Black Friday “hot items” flew off the shelves . among the most popular were items like T.V.’s and other electronics.

There were also lots of parents who said they were doing a little early Christmas shopping for the kids at home.

Despite a many people agreeing that they could have easily bought some of the items online, many people we talked to say they loved the thrill of being some of the “firsts” to get their hands on the items.

I do it every year, I enjoy it--get some good deals, have a good time, enjoy the crowds and the festivities" one woman said.
