Three people accused in the fatal shooting of a gas station clerk have been formally charged with murder.
Shayne Thompson, Janai Hudson and Ryan Clark are also facing several other charges including robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and resisting law enforcement.
The three are accused of fatally shooting Elvalide Ndiaye, 39, Wednesday.
Ndiaye had taken a second job at the Rickers BP Station at 38th and High School to save up money to visit his sick mother in Senegal.
“All I can do is pray for them,” said Tanya Ndiaye, Evalide’s wife. ”Not only have they ruined our lives, but their own lives for just a few dollars.”
According to police reports, the suspect had six cartons of cigarettes, a Slim Jim and $48 when they were arrested.
