(September 18, 2015) – Three people from out-of-state were arrested for tying up store employees and stealing cash from a Walmart in Kokomo.

Kokomo Police were called to the Walmart located at 1920 East Markland Avenue on a report of an armed robbery.

Investigators learned that two suspects entered the store armed with a handgun, restrained two employees and took an undetermined amount of cash and other items from the store.

After an investigation, police took three suspects into custody in connection with the robbery. The three people arrested were Maurice Greer of Arkansas, Darrel Williams of Arkansas, and Tyrone Townsel of Florida.

These individuals are also believed to be connected to other robberies in the Indianapolis area.

They are currently being held in the Marion County Jail in Indianapolis on Federal charges.

No injuries were reported in the Kokomo Walmart robbery.
