INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett joined executives from TinderBox Monday to announce the company’s revamped brand and plans to hire more than 220 new workers over the next few years.

TinderBox, a provider of sales productivity solutions, will change its name to Octiv. The company helps sales and marketing teams improve how documents are created, distributed and tracked. Clients including Angie’s List, Egencia (formerly Orbtiz for Business), Siemens and G/O Digital use Octiv.

The company will scale up its sales and marketing software solutions operations in Indianapolis, creating up to 224 new high-wage jobs by 2021. Octiv will invest $3.2 million to expand and equip its Indianapolis headquarters as it works to accommodate expected growth.

“The reality is we help sales and marketing teams come into harmony with their customers and create a more meaningful buyer experience,” said Dustin Sapp with Octiv. “We help businesses become better versions of themselves. We help them grow. We help them employ more people, and that’s exactly what we’re doing here at Octiv as well.”

The company, which moved into the Lacy Building at 54 Monument Circle in 2013, will increase office space by expanding to the second and seventh floors. Octiv currently employs 68 associates, including 60 in Indiana, and plans to grow its Indiana team to 332 employees by the end of 2021. For a look at the job openings, go here.

Sapp said he was told by many people that making waves in the tech market would involve moving to the west or east coasts. He said that advice couldn’t have been more wrong–he’s found Indiana to be incredibly supportive. All elements of the business will be expanding, he said.

This marks the second major expansion for the company, which launched out of Broad Ripple-based DeveloperTown in 2010. Octiv’s cloud-based platform now supports more than 400 customers around the world.

“Every day is a good day,” Hogsett said. “Some are just better than others, and today is a really good day for Indianapolis.”

Hogsett said TinberBox has brought national recognition to central Indiana. He’s ecstatic that the company is staying in the Hoosier State.

“When it came time to grow, this company’s leadership decided that Indianapolis was where they would continue to invest,” Hogsett said.
