Tip leads to man’s arrest in Bartholomew County meth case

TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. (June 10, 2015) – Police in Bartholomew County arrested a man Tuesday in connection with an ongoing drug investigation.

According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Joint Narcotics Unit and U.S. Marshals Joint Task Force received a tip that a wanted man was in the area of Main Street in Taylorsville.

Detectives in the area found the man, later identified as Edward J. Harshman, 40, traveling in a vehicle in the 9000 block of Main Street around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and took Harshman into custody on a warrant for two counts of dealing methamphetamine, investigators said.

The arrest came as the result of an ongoing investigation involving the Joint Narcotics Unit, which includes members of the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office, Columbus Police Department and Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office.
