INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 26, 2105)–Area rescue crews were kept busy with water rescues as another round of rain fell over Marion County Sunday night.

Torrential rain began falling over the northeast side with rainfall totals quickly adding up to the three and four inches.

Our news crews watched as vehicle after vehicle defied the rising waters, only to stall out and require help from rescue crews. At one point, police said there just weren’t enough high water signs available to block off every street that was flooded in the city.

Flash flood warnings were issued for central Indiana counties until 12:45 a.m.
