INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –  The Indianapolis Department of Public Works announced Monday that traffic along 82nd Street from Hague Road to Lantern Road will be shifted to the two center lanes for two days starting September 22nd,  weather permitting.

This traffic lane shift will allow construction crews to begin resurfacing the outer lanes of Sargent Road.

East 82nd Street will be opened without lane restrictions on or after October 15th.

This construction project also includes new sidewalks and curbs, travel lanes, ADA-compliant access ramps, drainage improvements, and bridge widening.

The goal of this project is to improve commuter and pedestrian safety from Hague Road to Fall Creek Road.
