Triple shooting on Indy’s near west side leaves 1 dead, 2 critical

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Three people were shot late Saturday night on the near west side of Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the shooting occurred in the 200 block of South Warman Avenue. 911 operators received a call from a witness who heard shots fired in the area shortly after 11:15 p.m.

Responding officers located three victims, two adult males and one adult female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS personnel transported all three victims to nearby hospitals for treatment. All three sustained critical injuries as a result of their gun-shot wounds. Despite the best life saving measures applied to one of the victims, one male has been pronounced dead.

The names or identity of the victims has not been released yet.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
