CLINTON COUNTY – A semi truck carrying snack cakes went off the interstate Friday, causing a bittersweet traffic headache in Clinton County.

According to Indiana State Police, a 2013 Freightliner owned by K&B Transportation veered off I-65 southbound near the 150 mile marker around noon, going off the right shoulder and into a ditch before rolling. The truck was loaded with Little Debbie snack cakes.

Investigators aren’t sure what caused the driver, 42-year-old Steven Shawn Pfeiffer, to lose control of the vehicle. He was uninjured but cited for unsafe lane movement.

The crash slowed traffic, and officials initially had to shut down the right lane of the interstate. State police expect traffic to remain sluggish in the area as they clean up the crash.
