Two Indiana State Troopers sent to hospital following interstate crash in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. ( February 3., 2016)  Two Indiana State Troopers were taken to the hospital following a late morning crash along I-69 just north of Evansville.

State Police confirm that the troopers were involved in a crash just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday along I-69  at mile marker 17, when a semi  struck the back of their cruiser, spinning it out and sending it into the guard rail.

The semi then lost control and overturned on the interstate.

Both troopers sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to an Evansville hospital. The condition of the semi driver has not been released by authorities as the investigation continues.
