PLAINFIELD, Ind. (August 29, 2015)–Interstate 70 lanes are back open following a crash Saturday evening near Plainfield.

Shortly after 9 p.m., emergency crews were called to the 61.8 mile marker for a single vehicle crash.

Hendricks County Sheriff’s deputies say a car traveling east on I-70 swerved to avoid an object in the roadway, lost control, and rolled several times.

Investigators say one person was ejected and a second person was trapped inside the wreckage.

Lanes of both eastbound and westbound I-70 were blocked as rescue crews worked to free the injured person.

Both were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
