INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police are investigating an early Wednesday morning crash that sent three people to the hospital.

Police said a broken-down vehicle was being pushed out of the roadway near 25th and Post Road just after 3 a.m. when it was struck from behind by another car. That impact sent the disabled SUV through a fence while the other car also veered off the  road  and through another fenced yard.

Three people–two who were pushing the disabled vehicle and the driver who hit them–have been taken to Eskenazi Hospital. The severity of their injuries was unclear.
