Two possibly related east side shootings leave one man dead, another injured

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police were called to investigate two east side shootings Wednesday evening.

The first shooting ended fatally.  Police say a man in his mid-20s was shot in the neck at least one time in the 2100 block of Emerson Knoll Place around 7:30 p.m. He was then transported to Eskenazi Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Within minutes of the first shooting, officers say they were called to a second incident in the 3000 block of North Colorado Avenue. There, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition. He is also in his mid-20s.
