With out their second leading scorer the University High School trailblazers rallied for a 54 to 51 win over Bethesda Christian in the semifinals of Sectional 58. Kevin Bates missed his third straight game after suffering a concussion in a win over Indiana School for the Deaf on Febuary 14th. He watched from the bench as his team tied the Patriots in the final minutes and took the lead off a three pointer from Anthony Maranto.
The Trailblazers had a chance to ice the game at the free throw line but after a number of misses the Patriots had a chance to send the game into overtime with a three. Luckily for the home team the last second shot was off the mark and they got the victory.
The Trailblazers advance to face Tindley in the Sectional title game on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
