(June 24, 2015) – Sam Maccarone and Jessica Burzichelli met when they were 10-years-old, and they say they have loved each other ever since.

According to BuzzFeed News, the New Jersey couple dated through high school and college.

“In the end, I just think both of us realized we were meant for each other,” Burzichelli told BuzzFeed News.

Sam and Jessica are currently in their twenties, and they live in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Sam was ready to propose, but he wanted to do something very special. He enlisted his musician cousin Matty Mac and his filmmaker friend Domenick Cucinotta to create a music video for his proposal so he and his wife-to-be could have a memory of the day to last forever. At the time Mac didn’t have any songs that would apply to marriage, so he wrote a song specifically for the occasion. Mac says, “Without his love for her and the desire to do something great for the proposal, I would have never written that song.”

Sam told his unsuspecting girlfriend that Mac wanted to feature them in a music video, and she agreed to be in it.

The final scene of the music video was shot in a restaurant where all of their friends and family were waiting. Sam got down on one knee and proposed to Jessica.

Jessica told BuzzFeed News that she was shocked. “I’ve dreamed about this moment since we were little kids,” she said.

The proposal happened in October 2014 and the completed music video was posted in May of this year.

The video has over 2.7 million views.
