Wednesday was the warmest weather we’ve seen here in Central Indiana in more than seven months and many people were outside enjoying the beautiful preview to summer.

The Splash Park at the Indianapolis Zoo was packed today with kids looking to cool off.

Many area parks were also busy.

Indy Parks said it’s ready for warm weather fun and even plans on opening some of its warm-weather attractions as early as this weekend.

“We’re ready to open our spray grounds this weekend and we’re prepared to open eight pools actually early for Memorial Day Weekend and we’ll be open at those pool locations on Saturday the 25th, ” said Maureen Faul with Indy Parks.

The rest of Indy Park’s pools will open the first week of June.
