Warren Township schools delayed due to east side power outage

Update: Power has been restored as of 7 a.m.

INDIANAPOLIS — A large power outage delayed classes and left many in the dark Thursday morning.

According to school administrators, all Warren Township schools are delayed 2-hours Thursday morning.

A large power outage centered around East 21st and North Post Road is affecting more than 2,200 Indianapolis Power and Light customers.

According to IPL the outage occurred around 5:00 a.m.

A cause and time for a fix is not immediately known.
