Watch ‘Harry Potter’ films as Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra plays scores live

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter films and love live music, we have just the thing for you!

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has announced that they will join orchestras around the country to bring the music from Harry Potter to life.

During the performance at the Hilbert Circle Theatre, musicians will perform every note to John Williams’ scores, starting with “The Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Meanwhile, the audience will simultaneously be watching the film on a 40-foot high-definition screen.

The orchestra have scheduled six performances of three films so far. Those dates are as followed:

“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”

  • September 23, 2016, at 7:30 p.m.
  • September 25, 2016, at 3 p.m.

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”

  • October 27, 2016, at 7:30 p.m.
  • October 30, 2016, at 3 p.m.

“Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”

  • May 19, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.
  • May 21, 2017, at 3 p.m.

Tickets range from $25 to $85 and can be purchased at IndianapolisSymphony.org or by calling the ISO box office at (317) 639-4300 beginning at 10 a.m. on July 15. ISO season subscribers can purchase tickets a day early on July 13, beginning at 10 a.m. Patrons receive a 10% discount when they buy the full three-concert series.
