INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 21, 2015) – Several east side Indianapolis families received very special deliveries from a very special duo yesterday!

Batman and Robin left Gotham bearing gifts!

These families signed up for the “Adopt-A-Family” program through the United Christmas Service, but they had no idea that superheroes would be delivering the gifts!

“I’m just very thankful that they were able to do this for my son. This is the best thing that could have ever happened to him this Christmas. I’m about to cry!” said one mother, Megan Merklinger.

“Batman” is actually a 15-year veteran deputy sheriff in Ohio named Michael “Knightmage” Wilson. He’s worked on several Hollywood comic book movie productions including The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises and Captain America 2: Winter Soldier.

Wilson works closely with local and national charity organizations such as The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Capes 4 Heroes, Putting Downs First, Angels for Animals and many others as a sponsor. In 2014, he was awarded the “Presidential Volunteers Award” for his charitable deeds through cosplaying.

“Robin” is an Indy resident who goes by SuperKayce online. Kayce is a 6th year costuming veteran who likes to give back to the community by helping out with fundraisers for the Spina Bifida Association of Indiana and Make-A-Wish. She also volunteers her time for organizations like the Justice League of Indiana and others.
