Police: Woman drove into Greenwood pond after swerving to avoid animal part

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Police say a woman drove into a pond in Greenwood while trying to avoid hitting an animal body part.

The incident happened around 6:40 a.m. at a pond near Center Grove Middle School. The woman was not injured, and she was able to get on top of her car until emergency officials were able to rescue her with a boat.

A wrecker was called to the scene to get the car out of the water.
