A double motorcycle crash has left one woman with serious injuries , while someone else helped the other driver get away.

IMPD says the crash happened in the  7600 block of Southeastern Avenue near the Thirsty Horse Saloon, around 10:15 p.m.

A witness says the woman was heading southeast on Southeastern Avenue when she was hit by another motorcycle. The impact caused her to veer to the side and flip.

Someone who’d heard the crash from the Thirsty Horse Saloon told police, the driver of that second motorcycle then jumped off the bike, hopped in a pickup truck with someone else and drove off.

Other patrons from the Thirsty Horse came and picked up the man’s blue Harley Davidson out of the street and drove it off.

Police say she was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

Officers tried to speak with several other witnesses at the scene, but they were all uncooperative.

Now, police are looking for that second driver who got away in the truck. He’s described as being a white male, 25 to 30 years old, about 6’1″ tall, with shaggy hair.

The truck is an older model, blue pick-up.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
