INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (Jan. 25, 2014) — It was a special day at the Statehouse on Saturday, as students from all over the state learned what it was like to be a lawmaker.
About 130 teens came out for part of the YMCA State Youth and government model legislature.
The kids started the program back in August, learning how to write bills and then debate them.
The whole program lead up to this weekend, when the students were able to show off their new skills at the Statehouse.
Indiana is one of the only states that allows the YMCA use the actual Statehouse for their program.
