ORLANDO, FL – According to a report by the Orlando Sentinel, Frank Vogel has reached a deal with the Orlando Magic to become the team’s new head coach.

It was perfect timing for the Magic after their head coach Scott Skiles resigned last week.

For the last five years, Frank Vogel was the head coach of the Indiana Pacers. Last week, Pacers President Larry Bird announced his decision to part ways with Vogel, saying that he felt the head coach lost the player’s ear’s after being with the team through five seasons.

“I think at times, players just don’t listen. You have to keep them mentally focused and if you have a new voice and new strategy you hold their attention longer,” said Bird.
