INDIANAPOLIS – Months of anticipation and a weekend of nerves have come before it, but finally the brackets are being released.

At 6 P.M eastern time the NCAA released their brackets for the 2013 NCAA Tournament, naming the 68 teams that will play for the right to reach the Final Four in Atlanta in early April.

Indiana will be the top seed in the East Region and will face the winner of the first four game between LIU Brooklyn and James Madison on Friday at around 4 PM in Dayton on TBS. If the Hoosiers win that game and then beat the winner of the 8-9 match-up between NC State and Temple, they would play the regional round in Washington D.C.

Also in the East Region are the Butler Bulldogs who are the sixth seed and will play Bucknell on Thursday in Lexington at 12:40 PM on Tru TV. If Brad Stevens’ team can win that game they would face the winner of the game between third-seeded Marquette and 14th seed Davidson.

The Bulldogs beat Marquette in the Maui Invitational back in November and have a win over the Hoosiers in December. The only time that Indiana and Butler could play would be the Elite Eight since they are on opposite sides of the bracket.

Elsewhere in the state Notre Dame got the seventh seed and will faced tenth-seeded Iowa State in Dayton on Friday. Valparaiso got a 14th seed and will faced third-seeded Michigan State in Auburn Hills, Mich.
