Newgarden’s car was completely destroyed. Daly was okay and walked away under his own power. Newgarden exited the car with help from the safety crew. Upon getting out of the car, he collapsed on the track. He eventually was speaking and coherent before being taken off on a stretcher. Newgarden waved to the crowd as he exited indicated he was okay.
Indycar tweeted that he was being taken to the hospital to get his shoulder and hand checked out.
