(Aug. 4, 2014) – On Monday afternoon you could sense that perhaps the Colts, and head coach Chuck Pagano, are getting a little anxious heading into their preseason opener on Thursday against the New York Jets.

“It’s big,” said Pagno, who will travel to New Jersey for the exhibition. “It’s big for all the guys and obviously can’t hurt. I’m just excited to see everybody get out there and get under the lights and see who can handle it. I mean we’re to play a tough, hard-nosed, rugged football team on Thursday.”

Pagano was very adamant in saying that he believes the offensive units needs to get some snaps, and pointing out that he we will probably see some more snaps from his interior lineman as he figures out who fits where in the Colts lineup. And with that said, we can probably expect to see most of the Colts players dressed and ready to go barring any setbacks heading into Thursday.

Well, except for one certain wide receiver who is coming off a season-ending ACL-tear.

“Reggie (Wayne),” said Pagano. “He’s going to see some action before September 7th. When that is, TBA.”

So for those who are wondering when they will get to see Wayne playing in competition, they will have to perhaps wait until next Saturday’s home contest against the New York Giants.
