INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 3, 2016)-
According to multiple reports, former Rockets point guard Ty Lawson and the Pacers have agreed to a deal. Houston and Lawson agreed to a contract buyout on Tuesday.
According to Shams Charania, of the Vertical on Yahoo who first reported the news, Lawson is expected to report to Indiana this Sunday.
In order to make room for Lawson, forward Chase Budinger will be waived on Saturday. The news was first reported by Sean Deveney of Sporting News and later confirmed by our partners at the Indy Star. The Star’s Candace Buckner reports that Budinger and the Pacers agreed to a buyout deal a week ago.
So to repeat: Budinger & #Pacers agreed to a buyout deal a week ago. But not finalized bc team’s been waiting on Miles to return from injury
