INDIANAPOLIS – Something happened last week that isn’t uncommon in high school football but certainly is when it comes to Bishop Chatard football.
In a hard-fought game, the Trojans lost to Winton Woods of Ohio on the road 20-18 and it was something the program wasn’t used to. That defeat was the first for Chatard in the month of October since 2009 including the playoffs or the regular season.
It appeared the Trojans took that to heart on Friday night.
Facing a talented Guerin Catholic team that shutdown Brebeuf the week before, Chatard mostly from start to finish in what turned out to be a decisive 42-13 win Friday night at Lawrence Central High School.
Chatard took a 28-6 lead to halftime and then used a pair of Gabe Coleman touchdown runs in the final 24 minutes to pick up their sixth win of the year.
