INDIANAPOLIS (July 18, 2014) – U.S. World Cup veteran DaMarcus Beasley will be honored at the Indy Eleven game Saturday, July 19.

Beasley is an Indiana native, and he grew up in Fort Wayne.

He started his professional career straight out of high school with the Chicago Fire in 1999.

He then joined the United States Men’s National team in 2001.

Beasley has capped over 100 times with the United States national team, and he is the only player in United States’ history to see the field at four FIFA World Cups

The Indy Eleven reports that Beasley will help get Indy Eleven’s NASL Fall Season home slate started by participating in the ceremonial “First Kick” just prior to the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Indy Eleven says that Saturday’s contest will mark the sixth sellout at Carroll Stadium.
