INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Good Sunday evening! It's been a busy weekend in the weather center for the second weekend in a row! We tracked a wintry mix with freezing rain, sleet, snow and even thunderstorms in central Indiana Saturday night into Sunday.
Indianapolis saw 0.2 inches of snow Sunday which gives the city 4.1 inches season-to-date. Check out other years:
Flurries continue out there this Sunday evening but we'll clear the sky out overnight. Expect the coldest air of the season by Monday morning.
Temperatures will fall below zero with a clearing sky, some snow on the ground and light winds tonight. Expect lows around -3 degrees in Indianapolis. Wind chills will range from -5 to -10 degrees tonight.
Monday will bring sunshine with highs in the upper teens. Winds will shift from north to southwest through the day around 3 to 7 mph. Wind chills between 10 and 20 degrees are expected.
A warming trend will develop Tuesday through the end of the week with highs in the 30s. Our next chance of snow will be Thursday. It will turn breezy once again into the weekend as another storm system approaches. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day look to bring a wintry mix back to central Indiana.
